My series explores the restrictions and struggles of women and feminine subjects as I ask: How can I express the diverse feminine experience through conceptual and alternative process photography? By connecting femininity to race, sexualization, motherhood, and other complex topics, I add nuance to an issue that easily feels unrepresentative by building dimensional artwork. My experimentation with digital photography, alternative processes, collage, and installation artworks highlights the spectrum of female and feminine struggles through stylistically dreamlike and surreal imagery.
